Should I wear skinny or wider width pants? - In choosing pant styles, you must remember that there isn’t a universal rule appropriate for everyone’s figure. The width of pant is determined by what you are wearing with it. If you are wearing an edgy tunic, luxurious sweater, or maybe a wonderful longer jacket, try a skinny pant. Put several on, because there are different variations of skinny and one will work better than another.

If you are wearing a beautifully cut and fitted, shorter to mid-length jacket, or you want a more classic fashion look, opt for a wider trouser. Again, the width depends on your personal figure and your curves. There are straight cuts, boot-cuts, flares, and very full. Take the effort to complete the look correctly and no matter what style you pick, you will look fabulous.

How can I wear the new longer length skirts? Is short out? - First of all, short is not out!!! But, there is an appropriate short as we mature; keep this in mind and don’t forget to wear black tights or some of the new patterned legwear for your shorter skirts.

We have worn longer lengths many times, but the difference this season is the options. There is the fuller skirt (our retro-current look) that hits at or below the knee; there is the pencil skirt (again retro-current), and there is the maxi (sleek bias cut, not full or tiered). All are wonderful options and all must be worn with the right jackets and tops. The fuller and pencil skirt need shaped jackets and belted sweaters. The maxi can incorporate the tunics with the slouched or double wrap belts. Notice the use of belts. It is an important season for belts, because it takes the right one to finish the looks in a modern way.
